My Thoughts on no YJ or GLATS until JANUARY 2013

"Before the dawn" was good. Like... GAH... ALIENS. EXPLOSIONS. TOO MANY CHARACTERS TO COUNT ON FOUR HANDS...

If you have an itunes subscription to the series, it should have downloaded automatically, but I've heard reports about it not showing up if you don't. Meep. If you want some spoilers and screen caps from the latest episode of YJ or GLTAS, you should probably check out the "young justice" and "gltas" tag on tumblr.

Anyways, about the pic.

I hadn't done character design in a while, so this was pretty fun. It's actually an older piece, like a month or two old, just posting it now. XD

And of course, being on a blue beetle kick, how could I not try my hand on everybody\'s homicidal scarab, Khaji Da? Now, if you watched "before the dawn," this wouldn't make sense for that universe, but how cool would it be if Khaji Da was originally a Reach Warrior that got stranded on Earth 5000 BC, and was the ultimate influence of the Egyptian aesthetic?

SUPER COOL.

I love Khaji Da in beetle form, but I always thought it would be so neat if he actually had a warrior form that he was prior to just being the scarab. I mean, maybe the alien that he took over died from old age and that’s how he’s stuck as a scarab, or maybe that’s his true form. Actually, another thing I was thinking, was that maybe Jaime actually has "stages" of transformation, so this would be like his Stage two, sorta like how Iron Man has his Mark II, III, IV and so forth...

I obviously based his look on the egyptian pharaohs (or did they base their looks on him? *wink*). This was really fun to do.

Now, off to watch YJ again! I have another Saint Walker piece that I'm going to upload soon. ^^ hopefully you fans out there can buy the latest episodes or find them online!

OMGOMG! I loved "Before the dawn" sosososo muuuch! The Blue Beetle is my fav, hehe, first cause he was hilarious "arguing with himself" and then cause he's just that awesome. :) AND OMG! DID YOU SEE VIRGIL HAWKINS THERE!?!?! I HOPE STATIC SHOWS UP ON YJ THAT WOULD BE EPIC! *\o/*

-cough- >///< Um, anyways, the stages idea is awesome. :) And I totally don't believe Jaime was the "evil" Blue Beetle from the future Impulse was talking about. :( Jaime was probably killed and the Scarab was given a new host. -nodnod-

XD OMG YES!!! I love static! He was the first DC series that I got into. ^^

Jaime gives me so many feels that I don't know what to do with myself. I sorta want a scene like in the comics where the negotiator totally rips the beetle off his back, but at the same time I don't. T_T

^^ Now it's just a waiting game...

This is awesome. And that's without me even knowing who the character is... Stop making me want to watch more series. I don't have time. (And if I keep saying that, maybe I'll convince myself. MUST RESIST.) You still keeping up with TFP?

XD Don't worry, he's not real. Just a personal rendition, he's not going to show up anytime soon. ^^ I haven't kept up with TFP. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous show, but there's just something about it that's... lacking to me. I don't get excited when I see the synopsis or hear spoilers... and that's a terrible feeling when you want to watch and support.
